At ChiroPro Performance Center we follow the accepted concussion return to play guidelines established at the Vienna, Prague and Zurich Conference.
Additionally, we consider all aspects of an injured person’s brain health before attempting a progressive return to play. This not only includes the standardized cognitive testing (ImPACT) but also a battery of other assessments including dynamic posturography and stability scores, along with eye and neck reflex responses which are important indicators for athletes. After looking at the objective examination data, the doctors at ChiroPro discuss return to play options with our patients.
Along with this topic, the Boston Globe had an interesting story regarding the decision to return to sport following concussion.
